First some news: I have a new job! Last week I interviewed at Salem State College for a part-time position in their Geography Department teaching Weather and Climate. I'm going to be teaching two sections of a Weather and Climate lab one day a week. I'm very excited about the opportunity. In case you're interested Salem is located on Boston's North Shore. It's about 60 miles from where I am. It is a little far, but since I'm going only once a week, it's manageable. The drive isn't bad and apparently rush hour goes the opposite way for most of my drive home. It really couldn't be much worse than taking over an hour to get from Miramar to Key Biscayne!
I had a great visit with Jessica and Jack a week ago. It was so nice to share some good time together, watching the babies play. I think they had a nice time with eachother although toy sharing became a bit of an issue! Who knew...I guess it just goes to show that the flesh is there from the beginning. We had a few fun outings such as going to the Yankee Candle Factory Store in South Deerfield, MA. It is the mecca for candle lovers. It's a huge store with more candles than you could dream of! It was a great trip and I got some nice votives to burn this summer. Jessica and I also got to go to Barnes and Noble by ourselves on the last night she was here. Rich played baby-sitter and we went and had cheesecake and coffee and wandered the store. It was so nice. I miss her so much...it was hard to say goodbye. Sigh...
Elisabeth is doing well. She is 10 months old now. I'm starting to seriously plan her birthday party...and it's hard to believe she will be a year old. She has learned to wave and she has said her first word. She waves and says "Hi". If you say "Hi" to her, she'll usually wave and say it back. It's so cute. She's doing a little better with the whole shrieking monster thing, which is a relief. I seriously thought I was going to lose it when that was going on. She's still not really thrilled if she can't see me, but it's better than it was. We borrowed a doorway jumper from a friend of ours. The first time she didn't know what to do, but by the third time she got in there, she figured it out and now she bounces with glee.
Check out this video of Elisabeth bouncing away!

At least her first word was "Hi" and not "Dada"!
Congrats on the new job! I'm very excited for you, but you left out the most important detail--what did you wear to the interview? :)
