Elisabeth turned 6 months old just about a week ago (I like to say she is "0.5"). That same day was the 1 year anniversary of us owning our first house. So how do I feel having lived here a year? Overall: very good. The good things about life here totally make up for the things that have been harder to deal with. I feel like I'm getting know some people a little better. I've totally struck out finding a mommy group, but there are several people I know with young kids (and one with a baby due in April) so I'm going to really make an effort to get to know them all better and do stuff with them. I like our church and we're excited to start getting involved there. The weather has been good (that's meteorologically good...not necessarily the most comfortable) for the most part. The only time I'm really not happy with it is when it gets below 15. That is just TOO cold. But 20 is not that big a deal to me. It hasn't snowed as much as I would like, but now that it's March, I think I'm ready for spring to get here. I would love to go outside more. There's a great park (
Coggshall Park ) just 5 minutes from here. There's a big lake with a walking path as well as a nice playground for when Elisabeth gets a little older. So, yes, life is going very well.
Elisabeth is growing like a weed. I can't believe what a big girl she's getting to be. She's making some strides with eating. Her first official meal (non-cereal) was green beans. Today she ate some apples which were soundly rejected the first 2 times. She is sitting up now and babbles at me. She's said "Da-da" which Rich thought was great, even though we both knew she really didn't know what she was saying. But it was cute. Here are some newer pictures. Enjoy!

Look at those chunky legs!

So Happy!

I love to play...especially with my cell phone!

Are you taking my picture again??

Boo!
