It's shoe shopping good

Well...maybe not that good (because getting a beautiful new pair of shoes is awesome), but I have begun a new love affair (don't worry hubby...I still of course love you best) with Yoplait. Growing up I never liked yogurt. I avoided it like the plague. Not only did it taste gross, the thought of eating live cultures really made me gag. I'm not sure exactly what changed. A couple of years ago on a visit with Karyn I decided to be brave and try some of her Yoplait yogurt. To my suprise it was not gross. A few weeks ago I was in the store and was looking for stuff to snack on or to supplement my frozen lunches (yes...I am sad...popping one of those Lean Cuisine/Smart Ones/Healthy Choice into the microwave is just SO much easier than attempting to actually cook anything with a little one). I was perusing the dairy aisle and wandered into the yogurt section. So I ended up coming home with 3 varieties of Yoplait. And they were good except I didn't like the custard style one very much. So now I'm a yogurt eating machine. Soon Elisabeth will be able to join me in yogurt eating, once she turns one. My absolute favorite yogurt is the Yoplait Whips Key Lime Pie. Mmmm...

I saw on the news yesterday an interview with someone from the Simplified Spelling Society whose aim it is to make English spelling easier. For instance, "people" would become "peepel" and "great" would become "grate". All I can say is Webster will be rolling in his grave if these people have their way with things. I understand that English can be a difficult language to master because of the irregularities in spelling, however, to me it's another attempt to dumb down our standards. Check out this example of one possible way to simplify our spelling. Hmm...looks a lot like another language eh?

That's funny - the only yogurt I can stand is the custard style one. Its a whole food vs. drink texture thing.

No, no, no, NO! If it's all phonetic, then there will be no more spelling bees, and then what will the nerds of the world do with their spare time then?????

(Vanilla yogurt with either fresh blueberries or chocolate chips stirred in is breakfast heaven!)
